Summer at the Cornish Cafe by Phillipa Ashley |
This week's read is Summer at the Cornish Cafe by English author Phillipa Ashley and it's the first book in a trilogy. The back cover of the book describes itself as "the perfect read for fans of Lucy Diamond, Liz Fenwick and Poldark". Sounds perfect for me!
Within the first few pages of the novel I was reminded of the delicious Cornish cream teas and pasties I had in Cornwall a few years ago – and the warnings about aggressive seagulls. I can't wait to spend more time in this beautiful part of England through the pages of Ashley's book.
