Italy from A to Z

Last summer I toured Italy from Rome to Venice with many more unforgettable sights in between: rugged mountains and scenic coastlines; great cities and delightful villages; and the master works of celebrated builders and artists. This diverse land has so much to offer the traveller. And now as April approaches, Italy has also provided me with a topic for each letter of the alphabet.

The month of April is time for the annual Blogging from A to Z Challenge. There are two aspects to the challenge: to come up with a topic for each letter of the alphabet; and to post every day of the month (except Sundays). I participated two years ago with a series of posts about my travels in France. This year I'm joining in with photos and posts about Italy. Here's a list of the topics I've planned:

Beginning on the first of April, allow me to share with you my memories of Italy from Aperol through to Zucchini. And there may be a few surprises along the way. (That peacock isn’t your run-of-the-mill show-off!) For more information about the challenge, click on the A-Z banner in the sidebar. And to make sure you don’t miss a day of the fun, sign up now to have posts delivered to your inbox.

  3. We had planned to spend about 6 weeks in Italy when we headed off around the world, but somehow that all changed and we ended up cruising around the country with only 4 days. I look forward to seeing it through your eyes. I am doing travel theme again this year too.

    1. I know what you mean, Denise. I'm always torn between discovering someplace new and returning to a place I love to experience more. I've been trying to do a little of both.
