Tibetan Peace Garden


The Tibetan Peace Garden was opened by
His Holiness the Dalai Lama in May 1999.

The Language Pillar carries the Dalai Lama's message
of peace and harmony in four languages:
Tibetan, English, Chinese and Hindi.

Contemporary sculptures at the west gateway
portray the element of Air.

At the centre of the garden, a bronze cast of the Kalachakra Mandala
is set into black Kilkenny limestone. The sculpture in the background
portrays the element of Earth.

This panel portrays the element of Water.
